Frequently Asked Questions
What is the history of His Hands?
God began the foundation for a new church with Steve & Susan Craig. Our first ever
“Party On Sunday” took place September 18th, 2005, at Dave & Buster’s in Marietta. In
June 2006, we moved into the youth section of the building. Once renovations were
done in October of ’06, we moved into the rest of our building.
His Hands is an independent, Christian church, unaffiliated with any other
denomination or group of believers.
Who leads the church and what is their background?
The Craig’s founded His Hands and serve as volunteer co-leaders of the church. Both have been super-involved in ministries both inside and outside the church during their 20+ years in the Atlanta area.
Steve worked in the financial services industry for over 20 years. The last 12 years he spent building an Inc. 500 company that continues to thrive today. In 2005 God led Steve & Susan to sell the business, in large part, to focus on starting His Hands. In addition to raising their two, now-adult children, Susan has volunteered in various
ministry roles, with special gifts for leading and worship.
How can a church be described as “non-religious?”
By “non-religious” we mean very non-traditional and non-legalistic. While there is
absolutely nothing wrong with tradition or liturgy, our style is the opposite! We try
not to create any man-made rules people have to follow or use exclusively Christian
lingo that people feel like they have to adopt in order to fit in.
The Basics?
God is the creator of everything, knows everything, and has power over
everything. He knows our good stuff and bad stuff and still loves us
more than we can imagine.
Jesus came, died, and was brought back to life so we can be reconnected to the
Father. When we believe in Him, we are totally
accepted. He gives us life now and forever.
The Holy Spirit is God’s actual Spirit. He strengthens us, teaches us and gives us amazing gifts.
The Bible is the word of God. Men were inspired by the
Holy Spirit to write it.
